The Firm of Bromm, Lindahl, Freeman-Caddy and Lausterer traces its history of providing legal services to residents of East-Central Nebraska to 1893 when John H. Barry returned to his home-town of Wahoo to establish a law practice. He was joined by Howard Kanouff, who was a partner for 40 years before appointment to the bench as a District Judge. John J. Edstrom joined the firm in 1960, serving as a partner until his death in 2002. Curt Bromm joined the firm when Mr. Kanouff was appointed Judge, in 1971 and Loren Lindahl became a member in 1973. Maureen Freeman-Caddy joined Edstrom Bromm in 1993, and Jovan Lausterer joined in 2007.
